By booking with Chiang Mai Border Run Service you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Cancellation & Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy.

1. About Us

Chiang Mai Border Run Service is a booking agency that partners with independent, licensed drivers to provide transportation services in Thailand. Our primary service is same-day border runs to land borders for passengers needing to exit and re-enter Thailand for visa purposes. We also arrange minibus trips and private driver services throughout Northern Thailand.

We do not own or operate the vehicles used for passenger transportation. Our role is to facilitate the reservation process and coordinate logistics on your behalf.

2. Booking & Payment

• Booking confirmation: Your booking is confirmed only after you receive a confirmation email from us. A booking request alone does not guarantee a seat.
• Accepted payment methods: We accept bank transfer, Wise, Revolut, TrueMoney Wallet, Thai QR payment, and cash at our office.
• Payment timing: Full payment is required to confirm your booking unless otherwise agreed.
• Pricing: All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (THB) and include the services described in your booking confirmation. Border fees, visa fees, and other government charges are not included unless explicitly stated.
• Processing fees: Any third-party processing fees (e.g., international transfer fees) are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.

3. Passenger Eligibility

• Passengers must hold a valid passport with at least 6 months validity remaining from the date of travel.
• It is your responsibility to ensure you meet all immigration requirements for Thailand and any countries visited during the trip (e.g., Laos).
• Passengers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet the eligibility requirements.

4. Travel Documents

• Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring your passport, visa, and all travel documents comply with the immigration regulations of Thailand, Laos, and any other relevant authorities.
• Our liability: We are not liable for denied entry, deportation, fines, or any other consequences arising from incomplete, invalid, or non-compliant travel documents.
• Guidance only: Any visa or immigration information we provide is for general guidance only and does not constitute legal advice. Rules can change without notice — always verify with the relevant embassy or immigration office.

5. Passenger Conduct

• Passengers must behave responsibly and respectfully towards other passengers, the driver, and any third parties.
• Prohibited: Disruptive, abusive, or offensive behaviour; consumption of alcohol on the vehicle.
• We reserve the right to remove any passenger who violates these rules without a refund.

6. Luggage

• The minibus has limited luggage space. Maximum bag size: 45 × 30 × 20 cm.
• If you need to bring larger luggage, contact us before booking so we can confirm whether it can be accommodated.
• No alcohol is permitted on the vehicle.

7. Pick-Up, Drop-Off & Punctuality

• Join-in trips: Pick-up and drop-off at one of the designated locations listed in the booking form.
• Private trips: Pick-up and drop-off at your chosen location within Chiang Mai or close proximity.
• Please arrive at your pick-up point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure. The vehicle will leave on time to maintain the schedule for all passengers.
• If you are not at the agreed location at the agreed time, the trip will proceed without you. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for no-show terms.

8. Arrival Times

We cannot guarantee exact arrival or return times. Travel times may vary due to traffic, weather, border queue lengths, and other factors beyond our control. Please plan your schedule accordingly and avoid booking onward travel (flights, buses, etc.) too close to the estimated return time.

9. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

Summary:

• 48+ hours before departure: Full refund or free reschedule.
• 24–48 hours: 50% refund; reschedule for ฿500 fee.
• Less than 24 hours: No refund, no reschedule.
• All requests must be sent by email to visarun@chiangmaivisarun.com.

10. Trip Cancellation by Us

• Minimum bookings: We reserve the right to cancel a trip if there are fewer than 2 bookings. You will be notified at least 24 hours in advance and offered a full refund or the option to reschedule.
• Force majeure: We are not liable for cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, border closures, strikes, civil unrest, or severe weather. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule or provide a refund as appropriate.

11. Insurance & Liability

• Personal responsibility: We accept no responsibility for personal injury, illness, loss of life, or loss/damage to personal belongings during the trip.
• Travel insurance: We strongly recommend that all passengers obtain their own travel and medical insurance covering the duration of the trip and all countries visited.
• Third-party services: We are not liable for the actions, omissions, or negligence of third-party service providers, including drivers, immigration officials, or border authorities.
• Limitation of liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the trip.

12. Privacy & Data

We collect and use your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By booking with us, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in that policy.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Chiang Mai Border Run Service and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the latest changes were made. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Thailand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
